Vijay Prakash is a promising Bollywood playback singer who has sung hit tracks from films like Yuvvraaj, Kaal, Swades, Lakshya, Matrubhoomi, Tere Naam, and Cheeni Kum. He has also performed in Tamil and Telugu movies. Vijay was a part of the blockbuster song, Jai Ho which won the 2008 Academy Award for Best Original Song. Vijay Prakash moved to Mumbai from Mysore in 1996 to take part in the singing contest, Sa Re Ga Ma. He made it to the mega finals in 1999. But the real claim to fame for Vijay Prakash came with his first song for Rahman in the Shahrukh Khan starrer Swades.
