Amit Trivedi is a popular Bollywood music composer, lyricist and singer. Passionate about western music since his childhood, Amit Trivedi first started making music with a band, Om which he joined during his college days. The band did local gigs and was eventually signed by the Times Music Group to cut an album. Post the band, Amit Trivedi went on to compose music for theatre, TV shows, orchestras etc. He also produced several ad jingles for McDonalds and Airtel.

After this he was signed by Sony BMG to compose a few tracks for the Indian Idol, Abhijeet Sawant’s album, Junoon. Amit Trivedi finally got his first film music opportunity when Anurag Kashyap signed him to compose music for his film, Dev D. Anurag also recommended him to the director of the film, Aamir. Amit Trivedi went on to receive much critical acclaim for the music he composed for Aamir and Dev D. One of Dev D’s tracks, Emosanal Atyachaar became very popular and Amit Trivedi soon became a known name with the audience.
