Sunil Shetty teams up with Raveena Tandon yet again in Officer, produced by Faruq Nadiadwala and directed by Naeem Sha, who has scripted several films made by Rajiv Rai. Producer Faruq Nadiadwala describes Officer as a "suspense-action fare, different from the run-of-the-mill stories one has witnessed in the recent times. Sagar Chauhan (Sunil Shetty) is a dedicated officer who has been entrusted with the responsibility of providing security to V.I.P.s. Sagar comes into contact with a millionaire, Pratap Rai (Danny Denzongpa), who requests Sagar to keep a tab and maintain vigil on his wife Meenal (Raveena Tandon). Meenal finds a new meaning to life in Sagar's company. She falls in love with him, but Sagar does not reciprocate her feelings.
