Namya is a simple, innocent countryman. His uncle wishes to marry his daughter to him, little knowing that Namya is in love with Suman, the village beauty. However, the villagers are opposed to such a match and so is Suman, who flatly refuses Namya's proposal. The hurt lover gets support and help from a local politico who advocates a man's right to fulfill his wishes. Namya feels his dream about to materialize, but the cunning politicians are playing for their hand and they use him as a tool to accomplish their ends. The truth eventually dawns upon him and he is wiser for the experience.
