Chak Jawana highlights the problems faced by the youth of a village in Punjab. These young men become directionless after falling prey to the evil of drugs, which makes them irresponsible and affects the peace in the village. While the elders in the village are worried about its future, Captain Gurjeet Singh (Gurdas Maan) arrives home on a month's leave from the Indian Navy. He is disappointed with the situation prevailing in his village and so he pledges to reform the young men to overcome their weaknesses. Would he succeed in doing this and would he be able to spread a powerful social message of family values, determination and hope?
