Peepli Live is a socio-political drama set in the heart of rural India in a village named Peepli. The story is about a poor farmer named Natha (Omkar Das Manikpuri), who decides to commit suicide in order to receive government aid from a program which is ironically supposed to save the farmers lives. In this endeavour, he is strongly supported by his own brother (Raghuveer Yadav). As the elections are around the corner, Natha's bid becomes a socio-political affair with the electronic media coming into picture. The sleepy village of Peepli is suddenly turned into a political hub and now the question of Will He? Or Won't He? , is what remains, with no one being concerned with what Natha really feels about his situation.
