Aloo Chaat is a Bollywood romantic comedy starring Aftab Shivdasani, Aamna Sharif, Linda Arsenio, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Sanjay Mishra, and Manoj Pahwa. The film is directed by Robbie Grewal, whose previous work includes films like Samay: When Time Strikes and MP3 - Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar.Aloo Chaat is the story of Nikhil (Aftab Shivdasani) who returns to his Punjabi household in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi from America after completing his education. His family consists of his orthodox father Purushottam (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), his grandmother Beeji (Dolly Ahluwalia) who suspects him to be gay, his confused mother Seeto (Meenakshi Sethi) and an always suspicious uncle Chhadami Mama (Sanjay Mishra). Nikhil refuses to marry any girl his parents show him, which has them worried about their son's attitude. Nikhil on the other hand loves Aamna (Aamna Sharif), a Muslim girl living in America.
