Ajanta theatre, the once favourite community hub and the place where Dia's (Madhuri Dixit) fondest memories are rooted, is being brought down because the local political authorities feel it’s a total waste. Instead, the real estate could be used for their own commercial profits. Dia returns from abroad and sets out on a mission to prevent the destruction and resurrect the spirit of the theatre. She has only two months to stop the bulldozers and in this time she has to win many hearts and triumph against several warlords, politicians and goons.
