Bhojpuri film ‘Deswa’,directed by Nitin Chandra and produced by Neetu Chandra is to be screened at the South Asian Film Festival 2011 Goa on the 16th December. The film revolves around the lives of three young men from Bihar and various dead ends in their lives that lead them towards a life of crime. After spending several years in the prison when they come out,they find that Bihar has changed. The filmmaker claims that it is the first attempt at realism in Bhojpuri cinema after a number of decades and focuses on contemporary Bihar.
