With over two decades of experience in the music business, Vivek drives
Believe's global vision by developing Independent Artists and labels across India and
South Asia. He started operations for Believe India in 2013 and has since built a
multi-faceted business to advise artists and labels on how to distribute and promote
their music across Label and Artist Solutions, Artist Services, and a DIY artist
Prior to his stint at Believe, Vivek has been associated with multiple senior roles in
digital music distribution, telecom VAS marketing, and label services, and is one of the
pioneers in helping set up digital music distribution services in India.
KJ Singh is a Mumbai based National Award and Filmfare award-winning sound
engineer, sound designer, music producer and guitarist. He is the owner of a successful
house, Fast Forward Productions, a studio, where he is normally found, Studio A6TG and
Big Chief of an Independent music label, Asli Music.
He holds a Diploma in Sound Engineering & Music Production from Trebas Institute of
Recording Arts (Toronto, Canada) and a master’s in political science from Hindu College,
University of Delhi. With over three decades of substantial experience spanning
across diverse projects for Bollywood and Tollywood, independent music acts and jingles,
KJ has built a reputation for having the Midas touch when it comes to sound. His ability
to meticulously pay attention to the tiniest of details when it comes to sound ensures
that projects, he lends his ears to sound absolutely top notch and crisp.
Brian Tellis has spent a lifetime in the Indian entertainment scene, with
a formidable equity value that transcends event management, radio, music retail, and
stage. He is a pioneer in the events, experiential and entertainment industry with a
career that spans over 3 decades. He co-founded Fountainhead Promotions and Events, one
of India’s most successful experiential marketing agencies and is also an accomplished
emcee, musician, actor and radio jockey.
From the advent of FM Radio in 1993, he has been a radio jockey and one of his recent
radio shows is on 94.3 Radio One. Back in the day, Brian had an acoustic rock & folk
music band called ‘Voices’. He has sung several jingles and, also acted in several
musicals since early on in his career although one of the most notable ones is ‘Grease’.
Currently, he is a consultant for the Aditya Birla Group and the Founder of
Radioactive Ventures which launched The Chinwag Collective - a podcast that explores the
worlds of media, arts and entertainment; and The Indian School of Protocol - which
designs and conducts workshops and courses on corporate etiquette.
Rajat drives the company’s strategies focused on growing its
Industry-leading market share across the country, building its premium content business.
He is an experienced entertainment executive and is committed to developing the
Company’s Artist roster, increasing its partnerships and investments, and driving
initiatives across Sony Music’s three regional offices covering multiple Indian
languages. As the largest Foreign-owned music company in India, Rajat also oversees its
expanded activities with Orchard, Sony Music Entertainment’s Industry-leading
independent music distributor and label services company, and Sony/ATV, the Industry’s
top music publishing company.
Under his leadership, Sony Music India has become an artist-first, marketing driven
company forging deeper Artiste relations in multiple Indian languages and working in
tandem with Global and Indian partners to take the compelling music to discerning
consumers in India and overseas.
Prior to this appointment, Rajat served as CEO and Managing Director of
Performance Limited.Rajat’s career in the music business began at Sony Music India in
1996 where he was part of the team that set up Sony Music in India as Director of Sales.
Later he joined Universal Music India and as the Managing Director, he oversaw the
Company’s foray into the digital landscape and founded new areas of business
development. Before joining the Music Industry, Rajat worked at leading consumer
product companies such as Procter & Gamble and Asian Paints. He has an MBA in Marketing
and is an Engineer who found his calling in music!
Atul Churamani joined the Indian Music Industry in 1987 and has worked
with music labels like CBS Gramophone Records and Tapes Ltd., Magnasound India Ltd,
Virgin Records and Saregama India Ltd.
He has been closely associated with the development of the Indian pop music scene having
signed and help develop the careers of artistes like Baba Sehgal, Shweta Shetty, Shaan,
Daler Mehndi, the Colonial Cousins, Sonu Nigam, and a host of others.
Atul now runs his own company Turnkey Music & Publishing Pvt. Ltd. which is among
the country’s only standalone music publishers. It represents several independent
songwriters as well as International publishing giants like Kobalt Music and BMG Rights
A music journalist, lyricist and poet based in Mumbai. A multi-faceted
creative leader, she is also the youngest music critic to hold the position of Executive
Editor at Rolling Stone India, the Indian edition of the world’s greatest music
magazine. As a lyricist, her musical collaborations include those with AR Rahman and
Clinton Cerejo, among other composers.
Nirmika’s Hindi poetry project is titled #AurSuno, under which she writes and performs
her verses in a gripping show format that combines spoken word and music. She is known
for her effortless yet sharp writing style, that marries the colloquial with the poetic.
As a millennial writer, Nirmika is articulating the thoughts of young India, one word at
a time in Hindi, English and Hinglish.
Music Partnerships head for Facebook India, Kabir also has been a radio
jockey in his past avatars and was responsible for being and honing some of India's very
best on-air talent. He has been a theatre artist since his teens and a college stage
sensation having won multiple awards for street plays from an early age.
He is now among the most emerging voices in stand-up comedy in the city and a
Mr Nigam was born in 1965 and was brought up in Bombay. He did his
Schooling from Rev. C F Andrews (SSC) & graduated in Commerce from the M L Dahanukar of
Commerce & Economics, Mumbai University. Along with graduation, he commenced doing

six years with responsibilities in Finance, Treasury, and Accounts. In 1996 shifted to
New Delhi to join Cargill India Pvt. Limited (Cargill is the World’s largest Agriculture
Trading and Processing Company) as Controller – Flour Milling and was responsible for
setting up the Flour Mill and its Finance, Accounts, Administration, and Licensing. He
shifted to Saregama India Ltd (HMV) in 1999 to take over Copyrights as Revenue Stream
and made Copyrights a Profit Centre, the revenues from Copyrights of Saregama grew from
Rs 60 lacs in 1999 to Rs 4 Crores in 2003. Rakesh has also worked with Universal for a
period of 16 months. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of The Indian
Performing Right Society Ltd (IPRS). IPRS is the society recognized u/s 33(3) of the
Copyright Act 1957 for Musical Works & Literary Works performed along with the Musical
Works by the Copyright Office, Government of India.
