Jamla Ho Jamla (1995)
A truly ensemble production, ‘Jamla Ho Jamla’ manages to bring together all the major stars in Marathi cinema working at the time, with Ashok Kumar in a special appearance as a bonus. Balaji Vishwanath has three sons from his two marriages; Devdutta, Sadanand and Piyush. Devdutta and Sadanand are busy playing rich than anything else. Balaji hopes that getting them married may be the first step to a more responsible life. Bapubhaiyya, his man Friday agrees, and arrangements are made for Devdutt’s engagement with Madhuri. In spite of being raised in an orthodox family, Madhuri is a modern woman herself, and should be the ideal choice for Devdutta. With Devdutta engaged to Madhuri and Sadanand finding his match in Aruna, things seem to be settling down in the household, until Balaji’s unexpected demise. All hell breaks loose when Balaji’s last will and testament is read. With the surprising new information coming to light, the family is thrown into chaos.
