Synopsis
9-year-old Shourya and Johnny are classmates in a small-town school. Johnny has adjustment problems and is socially awkward, because of which he has difficulty in learning at school. Shourya belongs to an upper class background, is a bright student and hand holds Johnny, who comes from a dysfunctional deprived family. A strong bond develops between the two and Johnny becomes emotionally dependent on Shourya. When Shourya’s father gets transferred, Johnny gets extremely dejected but Shourya comforts him assuring that they will meet at the same spot (the iconic Jesus Christ statue in Yanam) 20 years later.
